Harlem Shuffle

Be in two places at once: half in the light, and half in the darkness.

There’s a level of movement in Harlem every angle of which almost no one understands. Ray Carney doesn’t, but he understands better than most. Goods come and go, as does money, as does time. Carney gets into a pickle and you don’t know how or if he’ll get out of it again— but somehow he does. Not unscathed, and that isn’t to say that pickle doesn’t pickle something else in his future, but he’s part of the Harlem Shuffle as much as anyone else is.
I love this book and I would recommend it to anyone 16 and older who likes books like The Great Gatsby and shows like Firefly (Fox) and Lupin (Netflix).
