Where the Forest Meets the Stars

“Sometimes bad things happen to make good things happen.”

A young woman, Jo, finds a young girl, Ursa, who has wandered into her backyard. Jo, focused on her research for school, which is helping her move on from her traumatic past, decides to take on the task of helping this young girl. Ursa charms her way into everyone’s heart, including the reclusive neighbor, Gabriel, also dealing with a lot of trauma. Together they all learn more about themselves, each other, and what it takes to trust strangers with their secrets.  The story moves along at a nice pace, giving us little clues to Ursa’s mystery, which comes to a dramatic conclusion when all the pieces finally fit together
