Can 'Funeral Girl' stake out her own identity?

Teenaged Lainey (nicknamed Funeral Girl by knuckleheaded classmates) has a lot on her plate, from working in her family’s small-town funeral home to navigating high school drama to dealing with her own anxiety disorder. On top of that, she is beginning a relationship with a new transfer student, whose interest in the paranormal only complicates matters since the funeral home belonging to Lainey’s family is supposedly haunted. 

A ghost story without horror, a romance novel without sex, a piece of realistic contemporary fiction with a strong sense of history, this book is a great choice for people who like gentle reads that are up-to-date and relatable.
