I highly recommend the book Chance to Fly. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it: a wonderful coming of age story about a young woman named Nat who overcomes obstacles, perseveres, discovers her dream / passion, finds a group of friends in a new hometown. [Warning: you may want to watch a musical after reading this book.]
