This is not just a biography of a silent filmmaker, which he is most noted for. This biography starts with him working on the vaudeville stage with his dad at three and breaking into films in his twenties, losing nearly everything and coming back. There is a lot of detail about how he set up the incredible stunts he filmed, and performed, back before computer generated visuals. This book held my interest the whole way through, it is very long, but worth it.
