Living dolls, shadowy people, and copious amounts of soot

This manga series is an endearing blend of cute art and creepy undertones, complete with a compelling mystery in the nature of the Shadow family.  It makes up for its slow start with intriguing worldbuilding and Emilico's charming antics. In a similar vein to series like Black Butler and The Promised Neverland, though arguably a bit more wholesome, Shadows House is an enjoyable read for fans of the unsettling.
