A touching cross-generational tale

Lenni is dying. A permanent resident at the hospital, Lenni defies her diagnosis by injecting life and vitality into the lives of the people she meets. From Father Arthur in the hospital chapel to her favorite Nurse, New Nurse and of course her new best friend and fellow patient, Margot. 

Lenni and Margot bond over their rebellious nature. First meeting as Lenni distracts the staff so Margot can reclaim a lost paper from the trash bin. Despite the years between them (Lennis and teenager and Margot an octogenarian) they build a fast strong relationship both taken by the spark of life the other has in them and the incredible stories they have to share. 

This book is full of heart and humor. It takes a situation that could be full of sadness and shows that every moment of our lives are worth living.
