If you’ve heard this book is dark and wild, it is. But if you are worried - as I was - that you’ll get lost in the chaos, fear not. Despite its escalating insanity, Bunny is rooted in a relatable premise: a young woman in a willfully experimental graduate fiction program struggles with producing work she is proud of, coping with the traumas of her past, and juggling clashing groups of friends and classmates. What starts simple, though, quickly becomes a sci-fi thrill ride which gets harder and harder to put down as the book’s three parts unfold. If you’re into writing about writing, some risqué gore, and a good, old-fashioned twist ending, buckle up and give Bunny a shot.
