A beautiful movie adaptation of the novel by Penelope Fitzgerald

Set in late 1950's England in a small coastal town, this movie adaptation of Penelope Fitzgerald's The Bookshop is quiet, beautifully set and filmed, and takes the viewer on a journey with widow Florence Green (Emily Mortimer) who intends to open a bookshop in a town filled with many unique local characters, including some with very strong ideas of their own.
