I love New Orleans, other cultures, and fantasy novels.  This book took me to a whole new place: a world where there is a whole group of people who can do magic specific to their cultures, and have floating cities that traverse the globe.  I was sucked into young Ella's journey to the Arcanum Training Institute as the first Conjurer student.  It was so entrancing, I couldn't put it down.  I can't wait for the next book in the series!
