I fell in love with Jazz music in college. It makes my heart glad and so does this book about the remarkable Sonny Rollins. I like that he doesn't let anything stop him from pursuing his dream and his love of music is more important than fame. He thinks outside the box and finds an unlikely spot to practice. Gary Golio tells the story in a poetic jazzy style and the illustrations by James Ransome are vibrant and creative.
