Striking from beginning to end

Everything about this film is incredibly rich and striking. From the story to the animation to the music, watching this never fails to wow me! Key themes are artfully juxtaposed against one another and the main character Ashitaka represents the gray area within these issues. By the end, you will see the good and bad of every character’s perspective.

Although it was released in 1997 (and set in 15th century Japan), the story and its themes are still incredibly relevant and poignant today. This is one film everyone could benefit from seeing!
