A double murder from the 90s and a missing persons case from today. How are they connected?

Experienced teenage sleuth Stevie Bell is on a week-long international studies trip to London, when she is introduced to a woman whose friends were murdered in 1995. Angela believes one of her other friends might be the murderer, but disappears before she can provide any more information. Stevie now has less than a week to solve two cases, one decades cold, before she heads back to the States. 
While this is technically the fifth in the Truly Devious series (first book: Truly Devious), it can be read as a standalone mystery novel. Maureen Johnson does a great job giving the characters’ background and a quick recap of the previous books, so that you understand where Stevie is coming from and why she is the way she is.
