Bittersweet in the Hollow

It's giving "Practical Magic" with a more sinister twist, and it did a wonderful job.

 A kitchen witch myself, I loved the touches of folk wisdom, as well as the paranormal elements. I also really enjoyed the way the women were centered. There's something that's satisfying and refreshing when a story creates so much depth and nuance to its female characters that the men feel so secondary and hollow in comparison. I always appreciate that.
Linden is one of four sisters, born into a family of women with uncanny abilities who carry the wisdom of those who lived in their old farmhouse before them. Last year she went through something she can't quite remember... but this summer it comes back to haunt her in ways that put people she loves in danger. She has to learn to rely on her family as well as trust her gifts to unearth the secret of what's really been haunting her small town.
