But let’s say it’s dark chocolate hot cocoa since while this book is extremely fluffy and fun – with many deliciously spicy elements – it had a depth to it that really rounded out the overall flavor.  

I really loved the relationships between all the characters, not just the main couple. They had great development, emotional depth, and excellent banter. 

If you like books where conflict occurs not because of miscommunication, but because the characters do talk and then have conflict, making it feel more genuine, then this is definitely a book for you. The fluff to angst balance is superbly done.

I recommend this to anyone who wants a fun holiday-adjacent read for… literally any holiday from Halloween to Easter, or to readers who wished films like Hocus Pocus or Elf had an intricate political drama included with the campy comedy romp – get you a media that can do both, I say, with this book! :D
