A creepy thriller about the politics of translation?

This novel is about a dissatisfied translator of subtitles for Bollywood films whose mediocre boyfriend gets her an invite to an ultra-exclusive school to learn new languages. It's about appropriation and the politics of language and translation. It's also a deliciously creepy thriller full of dark humor. You might guess the twist before the reveal, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable.
