As I listened to this audiobook while doing dishes, I had tears streaming down my face. I thought this would be another “witty tales from a librarian” title that I would enjoy and mark off my to-be-read list. Instead, I came out of this this book feeling more seen than ever in what I do as my profession. What I love about libraries and library staff, is that at the end of the day we’re all here for the same thing: we want to help people. That can be anything from finding the “right” book to functioning as a warming location. We are here for our patrons and this book gives example after example of the wonderful people who choose to work with books.
