Set in the 1960s with cameos from David Bowie, Prince, and the Beatles. A folk singer, a jazz drummer, and guitarist that hallucinates, and a bassist who grew up on the rough end of town are banded together by a canadian manager as they reach for rock fame. 

It's an absolutely electrifying story that I couldn't put down. It had me laugh, and crying. And a few times I audibly gasped at the pages in front of me.

If you've read a few other David Mitchell books you might recognize a few characters in passing. But this is a standalone book.
