What’s the difference between a little thief and a great one?

Vanja Schmidt is a thief, a liar and, currently, a princess. Raised by the Low Gods of Death and Fortune, and cursed by the Eisenwald, Vanja has weeks left to a) steal a total of 1000 gilden, b) flee the kingdom, and c) break her curse before she dies at the next full moon. Oh, and also escape from under the noses of both her groom-to-be Margrave Adalbrecht von Reigenbach and the too-inquisitive Junior Prefect Emeric Conrad. What is a girl, armed only with her wits and a magic set of pearls, to do?
