Over the Garden Wall

Two brothers are lost in an unknown forest trying to find their way home. The basic plot and animation evoke a classic fairy tale. But the quirky, random sense of humor is thoroughly modern. One brother is impulsive and eager to find to delight in the world around him and the other ready to wax existential angst at the drop of a hat. It constantly wavers between eerie chills and downright absurdity. My whole family was hooked by this Cartoon Network miniseries.
